One of my first silk paintings (my third)

I made this in 1982 at Club Med in Mexico.  The technique is called French silk painting.  This was the arts and crafts class. Club Med is a French company, so this makes sense.  Now it is popular. When I learned to do this you could not buy the materials in the U.S.  I drew it completely freehand, with a bottle of gutta percha. That is what you draw the lines with. The colors are waterbase aniline dye.
